SM Entertainment have stated that three members – Hero, Micky, and Xiah – of DBSK (a.k.a TVXQ, tohoshinki) had no authority to accept the award in 2009 MAMA (Mnet Asia Music Award) as DBSK. (more details on the DBSK’s appearance in MAMA here).

It was told that three members of DBSK weren’t contacted through SM Entertainment for their appearance in MAMA. Also, SM claims that two other members of DBSK – U-Know and Best – weren’t approached to be part of the award ceremony. U-Know is currently resting and Best is preparing for his role in a drama.

The company stated, “Currently we are trying to make all five members of DBSK appear in Japan’s Best Hit Music Show and FNS Music Show. We are doing what we can to hold DBSK as five-member-group.” Currently, there is still two years left on DBSK’s contract with Avex (DBSK’s managing company for activities in Japan) as five member group.
