TVXQ (a.k.a DBSK, tohoshinki) cancelled their fan meeting, Bigeast 4th Fanclub Event. The fan meetings were scheduled for early next year in Japan. They told, “Currently, TVXQ has problems in Korea and after many discussions we had decided to cancel the fan meeting.”

TVXQ was supposed to have the fan meeting 4 times in Japan and all tickets have already sold out. Along with their cancellation notice, TVXQ posted a statement that stated, “Bigeast (TVXQ’s fan club) gave us strengths. Sorry for making you worried about us. We know that you have been anticipating for this event and we deeply apologize for the cancellation.”

TVXQ continued, “There was a conflict between our desires to create the best event that you could truly enjoy and showing our true selves to the fans. At last, we thought that we would be lying to our fans if we were in the stage because we couldn’t truly laugh and therefore decided to cancel the events. After everything is settled, we would like to see you with smiling faces. Again, we are truly sorry for making you worried.”

Meanwhile, it was reported that TVXQ was ranked #2 in Japan’s cable company USEN’s 2009 artist ranking. #1 was Sad to Say’s Jasmine. The rank is calculated by number of song requests and number of songs played in the TV station throughout the year.
