Wonder Girls’ member Sun-Mi finally had her towel thrown in the ring. After spending a year of her life in US, she publicly announced that she wishes to go back to a normal life and resume her life as an entertainer in the future after becoming a college student.

According to Wonder Girl’s management company JYPE on Jan. 23rd morning, Sun-Mi had stated, “Touring 50 cities in America was a valuable and happy experience, but I had doubts whether I could keep continuing this life and experience. After having many discussions with fello Wonder Girls members, family, and the management company, I have decided that I will momentarily put a hold on my activities as an entertainer and as a member of Wonder Girls. I have decided to come back to Korea and resume my studies as a student.”

JYPE showed their support on Sun-Mi’s decision by commenting, “As Sun-Mi management company, we will support her when she wishes to resume her life as a entertainer.” Sun-Mi also added that she wishes to continue to practice dancing and singing while she is resting.”

Therefore Sun-Mi is scheduled to participate as a Wonder Girls member until end of February and begin her college entrance preparations from March. Sun-Mi’s spot in Wonder Girls will be filled by JYP trainee named Lim.
