During launch event of his latest movie Before a Typhoon, Kim Nam-Gil told he had lost 14 kgs for his character in the movie. He told, “During the filming of ‘Queen Sun-Duk’ some were suspicious of me going through a plastic surgery. However, I just have lost weight. I had lost 14 kgs for my character in the movie Before a Typhoon.”
Kim Nam-Gil continued, “However, my weight loss didn’t become an issue because actor Kim Myung-Min had lost 20 kgs for his movie. I was somewhat disappointed.” It seems that Kim Nam-Gil has gained some weight and he looks healthy as ever.
It was reported that Jang Keun-Suk will be taking the lead role in movie You’re Pet. The movie is a remake of a Japanese drama in 2003 that originated from hit Japanese comics. Previously, SS501 Kim Hyun-Joong was a part of the candidate list for the lead role.
Actor Kim Nam-Gil made his appearance for a launch event of his latest movie Before a Typhoon on March 9th. The movie will be released on April 1st and it is about a man (Kim Nam-Kil) with a secret meeting his last love (Hwang-Woo Seul-Hae) starting from a lie.

Kim Nam-Gil held his fan meeting in Seoul Korea on March 7th. In the fan meeting Kim Nam-Gil’s celebrity crush was revealed. He picked Shin Sae-Kyung and recently married Lee Young-Ae as his two finalists but chose Lee Young-Aeas the final one without hesitation. He told that he really got drunk on the day he had heard the news of Lee Young-Ae’s marriage.
For his reasons of liking Lee Young-Ae, Kim Nam-Gil stated, “She has a pure image. She has beautiful eyes and a modern feeling. I also like Lee Yo-Won from Queen Sun-Duk too. However, instead of having private feelings for her, I think I have a lot to learn from her and her acting.” He closed his comment by saying “I don’t know why I like married women.” which caused everyone in the audience to laugh and smile.
